T-Splines 2.0 for Rhino WIP 15
This is NOT the latest commercial update of T-Splines version 1. You should not use this work-in-progress (WIP) for production. However, if you're interested in giving input into the next release of T-Splines, go ahead and install this (you will first need a full T-Splines license installed). There are still known crashers in the WIP.
All T-Splines updates, including this WIP, may be downloaded here: http://www.tsplines.com/latestversion.html. Please note that the download requires a different account than your forum account. Sorry for the inconvenience.
WIP 14 contained fundamental improvements. This release, WIP 15, contains mainly bugfixes.
New in this release
New features
Manipulator pivot point. The pivot point on the manipulator can now be moved. We are still working on the UI for this; currently it can be done by using the "T" hotkey (see hotkey page screen shot) and also as a command line option in the -tsManip command.
Per object meshing option for T-splines. This is available in the object properties window (accessible by hitting F3).
Clickable heads-up display. Now you can toggle between manipulator modes, selection modes, drag modes (including UVN), and turn hotkeys on and off by clicking in the heads up display box. Also, there was a bug that made the heads-up display box black on some computers, this should be fixed now.
Bug fixes/tweaks
Only edges on the border can now be extruded
Deleting a ring of faces in a model will now create two separate surfaces
Toolbars have been rearranged so they are the same order with or without text; all buttons are properly hooked up to their respective commands.
Phantom T-Splines that remained in the scene after they were trimmed have been killed
A number of crashers with the tsToggleExperimentalCaps command have been fixed
A bug in the display preview of tsThicken has been fixed
A number of errors with inserting edges and subdividing faces were fixed
On a personal note, I'm glad to get this out! On Monday the T-Splines board of directors are flying in for our yearly, in-person meeting. Should be a lot of fun. Tuesday=skiing after the meeting in Park City, UT, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics. If you happen to be in town, let me know and we'll meet you on the mountain! |
