We're excited to make available a beta release of T-Splines 3.3 for Rhino.
Check out the November 29th webinar
with Sky Greenawalt where he introduced how he is already using these tools to convert scanned aircraft parts into machinable surfaces.
If you have a license of T-Splines v3 for Rhino, you can download this and try it out. Please share your feedback with us about any bugs, Rhino 5 compatibility issues, polish requests, etc.

[size=1.3em]New features:
Retopology snap[size=1.3em] (icon is in the edit mode heads up display). When this is on, then T-Splines grips will snap to the closest object in the scene.
[size=1.3em]The follow commands respond to retopology snap: moving vertices/edges/faces with the manipulator. tsAppend, tsExtrude, tsInsertEdge, tsSubdivideFace, tsInsertPoint, tsSlide
tsAppend [size=1.3em]is greatly improved with new options and behavior
[size=1.3em]New tsBevel [size=1.3em]tool
tsInsertEdge [size=1.3em]has a new option to let you specify an exact distance (along the control polygon) where the new edge will be inserted.
[size=1.3em]New tsSlide [size=1.3em]command lets you slide edges along the control polygon
[size=1.3em]The manipulator SetPivot [size=1.3em]now allows you to set the orientation of the manipulator along with its position
New selection commands[size=1.3em]: Select next loop, previous loop, Next U, Next V
[size=1.3em]New tsUVEditor [size=1.3em]command
[size=1.3em]T-Splines now works with Rhino’s CageEdit [size=1.3em]command
[size=1.3em]tsSkin completely rewritten
[size=1.3em]tsLoft completely rewritten
[size=1.3em]The Edit mode HUD now shows more icons and is docked by default.
[size=1.3em]The old v2 transluscent box HUD has been updated to work with new v3 items and is now called Text Viewport HUD.
[size=1.3em]When tsExtruding a face or an edge, you no longer need to undo twice[size=1.3em] to undo the movement and the extrusion. Just undo once! Note: when you extrude a curve, you will need to still undo twice.
[size=1.3em]tsSymmetry has more clear command line prompts
[size=1.3em]tsInsertPoint has more consistent selection
[size=1.3em]tsPipe has new diamond joints
[size=1.3em]tsPull now properly moves tangency handles when it moves vertices
[size=1.3em]tsBridge now has the proper handles to let you change the twist and direction of the bridge
[size=1.3em]New tsExtractEdges [size=1.3em]command
[size=1.3em]Known issues in the beta, which will be fixed before the final release:
[size=1.3em]The option in tsMatch to match to curves is currently broken
[size=1.3em]CageEdit integration is not working very well
[size=1.3em]tsSlide will not move all edges in the same direction when one end of the selection is a star point
[size=1.3em]Happy Thanksgiving!
