The newer version is the source of the issue, and Renee was right that
material changes are one of the things that are at the root of the
problem. In order to get around it, I would first export all of the
important V-Ray info (options, materials) if you don't already have it,
so that you can reimport things later. The you'll want to save as, but
put a dash in front of save (it will look like -SaveAs ) and that will
call the command line version of save as. One of the options there is
to Save Plugin Data. Make sure that option is answer is no, and save a
copy of your file. Now that file should be able to be opened on the
machine with the older version of V-ray. Once that file is open,
reimport what you can from the settings you saved in the original file,
and recreate what you can't import. Let me know if you need any further
