Edit mode
1. We've created a new hotkey preferences pane, and you can now assign edit-mode hotkeys to a script. This lets you incorporate commonly-used commands into the edit mode more conveniently.
2. The delete key can now be used to delete selected mesh components.
3. Selection in edit mode is now much more like a subd modeler, with mouse-over highlighting.
4. Loop selection now works on vertices.
5. Mid-point snapping on edges and point-snapping on vertices now works when OSnap is turned on.
6. Non-manifold edges and vertices (bad geometry) are highlighted in red while in edit mode.
Commands
1. The user interface for tsmAppend and tsExtendIsoCurve have been improved.
2. tsThicken now has an edge-creasing option, and it works in mesh mode as well.
3. tsCrease now works on meshes.
4. tsmFillHole lets you fill holes in a mesh with a face.
Symmetry
1. Radial symmetry has been reworked to handle topological operations, and many operations are now possible on radially symmetric meshes (extrusion, face cutting, and appending faces are working).
2. tsSymmetryOff lets you freeze symmetry. Further work can be done on the mesh without symmetric updates.
Other improvements
We've put a lot of time into stability improvements. Some highlights:
1. Deleting large numbers of edges failed in some cases. There are now no known failure cases for edge deletion.
2. Deleting faces is much more robust.
3. Symmetric meshes should save and load properly, without losing their symmetry information.
4. An occasional crash in the tsMerge command has been repaired.
